F Major Scale

Construction

Also known as the ionian mode; this is the first degree of the diatonic scale. This Major scale is constructed by starting with the root note of F and following a the sequence of steps: W W H W W W H. The 'W' (whole step) means to skip a note, and the 'H' (half step), means to pick the very next note. The final step in the sequence will always end at the root note (one octave higher).
