D Harmonic Major Scale

Construction

Harmonic Major; this is the first degree in the harmonic major scale. This Harmonic Major scale is constructed by starting with the root note of D and following a the sequence of steps: W W H W H W+H H. The 'W' (whole step) means to skip a note, and the 'H' (half step), means to pick the very next note. The final step in the sequence will always end at the root note (one octave higher).
