G Blues Scale

Construction

6-note scale based on the minor pentatonic with an additional flat-fifth. This Blues scale is constructed by starting with the root note of G and following a the sequence of steps: W+H W H H W+H W. The 'W' (whole step) means to skip a note, and the 'H' (half step), means to pick the very next note. The final step in the sequence will always end at the root note (one octave higher).
